The 2027 Mercedes-Benz GLC

The 2027 Mercedes-Benz GLC lineup grows in a big way. For the first time the GLC family includes an all-new, purpose-built electric model, the AMG GLC 53 gains a new engine, and the familiar gas GLC carries on. Here is what is new, what is changing, and what carries over as you shop the GLC at Kunes Mercedes-Benz of Sycamore in Sycamore, Illinois.

The headline is the all-new electric GLC, a ground-up EV rather than a converted gas model. It rides on a dedicated platform with a longer wheelbase (for a bit more rear legroom), and the launch GLC 400 4MATIC pairs a 94-kWh battery with 483 horsepower and more than 400 miles of range on the European cycle. Fast charging is a strength: at up to 330 kW it can go from 10 to 80 percent in about 22 minutes. Standard touches include 20-inch wheels, an illuminated grille surround, and a panoramic roof, with an available 39.1-inch MBUX Hyperscreen and a Vegan Package for the interior. A single-motor GLC 300+ EV with 369 horsepower follows in early 2027.

The AMG GLC 53 gets a new heart. It now uses a 3.0-liter inline-six that combines a turbocharger with an electric auxiliary compressor to make 443 horsepower, with only minor exterior updates and a new Gold Accents Package. Across the lineup, Mercedes rounds out the GLC family so shoppers can choose gas, performance AMG, or fully electric.
