The 2027 Volvo lineup centers on the all-new EX60, a two-row electric SUV that sits between the EX40 and the three-row EX90, with updates to the XC60 and XC90 around it. Volvo's Scandinavian design, standard safety technology, and electrified powertrains carry through the range, so whether you want a fully electric SUV, a plug-in hybrid, or a three-row family hauler, there is a 2027 Volvo to consider. Here is what is new, what is changing, and what carries over as you shop at Kunes Mercedes-Benz of Sycamore.

The EX60 is the first Volvo built on the new SPA3 electric platform, with an 800-volt system, a standard NACS charging port (compatible with Tesla Superchargers), and three powertrains: the P6 rear-wheel drive (369 horsepower), the P10 all-wheel drive (503 horsepower), and the P12 all-wheel drive (670 horsepower). Volvo projects up to about 400 miles of range on the P12 (final EPA figures were pending at the time of writing) and fast charging from 10% to 80% in roughly 16 to 19 minutes on a 400-kW charger. Volvo's XC60 and XC90 also gain long-range plug-in hybrid versions, rated by Volvo at up to 78 miles of electric range for the XC60 and 73 miles for the XC90.

The XC60 gets updated styling (a refined grille, bumper, hood, and Thor's Hammer headlights), a new dashboard and wood décor, and an 11.2-inch screen. The XC90 adds the Google Gemini assistant, and both models receive over-the-air software updates. Reports also point to a trimmed-down lineup, with Harman Kardon audio becoming standard and some trims and powertrains discontinued, so confirm trim availability with our team. Volvo expects production of the updated XC60 and XC90 to begin this fall, with deliveries starting in early 2027. Outside the headliners, the EX30 will not be sold in the U.S. after 2026, and the XC40 and EX40 are not getting 2027 models (2026 models remain available while supplies last).
